about me
Born and raised in Wisconsin, I have lived in Kentucky since 2016 where I graduated from Bellarmine University with a B.A. in Psychology and Painting in 2021. I currently work as a production artist at Weber Group, a theming and fabrication company located in Indiana.
I am equally passionate about painting and drawing, often bouncing back and forth depending on subject matter & materials readily available. I gravitate towards portraiture and people as my subject matter, as every face is a new challenge to capture the essence of a person. As fond as I am of painting and drawing, I consider myself to be a pretty fluid artist and enjoy exploring other artistic avenues such as linocutting, stick and poke tattooing, crocheting, embroidery, and large scale three dimensional fabrication.
Rooted in social and psychological curiosities, my art is an expression of my attempts to better understand myself, my perception of the world around me, and the human experience in whole. My art has always felt like an extension of myself and has served as an outlet for me to reconcile my own internal conflicts and it often communicates thoughts and feelings that words do not have the power to express.
Artistic inspirations include Jack Beal, Jenny Saville, Judy Chicago, Sylvia Plath, and Salvador Dali.
