Family (2019)
This body of work investigates color, contrast, and balance as it is reflective of human individuality. This series explores the spectrum of color through corresponding specific colors with the face of each member of my family. In a society where one’s individuality is concealed or goes unnoticed in daily life, it is easy to start seeing each other as one in the same. As we should exist as a united community, it is important to understand the individual differences that define our identity, such as differences in sexuality, race, gender, experience, and other character traits. Even when existing in a homogenous looking group, character traits distinguish us from each other and define who we are in relation to each other.
